Hi Luis;
  I have installed Linux 5.2 I used Partition Magic 4.0 to partition
off my Hard Drive with a 900 meg partition and a 90 meg patition labeled
for LINUX SWAP. Patition Magic comes with Boot Magic that allows you
boot either Linux or Windows, or any other operating system you have.
put LILO in the LINUX partition with LINUX as the main OS. That way,
when you choose LINUX from Boot Magic, all you do then is press 'RETURN'
to use LINUX. Also, set yourself up as a user, don't always use 'ROOT'
because you can really mess up LINUX easily as 'ROOT' because you have
TOTAL ACCESS to delete, etc. and you don't want that. Hope this helps.
If you have more Questions, you can also write to me.

3. Re: Off topic help request

Does Partition Magic wipe the hard drive you're partitioning? Need to know
whether I could use it without having to finally splash out on the proper
backup stuff I need (hmmm...30gb tape drive should do...).

Thanks
Rikki
