don't know about wxGlade, but i use
Dev-Cpp (7.0 RC5 build 7.0.076)
to generate/edit XRC files and have
no problems so far

to generate/edit XRC files and have
no problems so far
Okay, cool. I'm guessing you're referring to this.
Do you use the wxWidgets component?
Looks like the "component" is the whole package. Is that true? 
I'm downloading it now, but I'm concerned it is installing Mingw compiler stuff. I don't use Mingw, but it probably doesn't matter since I only want the XRC files... right?

What components do I need to install? For example, do I need all the Mingw stuff? I obviously just want the XRC maker, so some of those components look superfluous.

Not sure what that means either. I also use DevCpp for xrc files with no problem.
I did the xrc stuff in wxEuphoria if you have any questions.

You do not need the mingw stuff, just the rad designer.
