1. Message View Question

Ok, first, I guess I should get this right...

Currently we have a Topic Index, correct? Then one that would list each individual message in chronological order would be a Message Index, correct? Then, when viewing just a single message, that would be a Message View, correct?

Ok, assuming all of that is right (or at least if you can understand what I am talking about)... When viewing an individual message, there will be two links a "Previous" and a "Next" link. My questions are:

1. What should these be called? Prev/Next, Older/Newer, ?
2. Should "Previous" go to then next older message?
3. Should "Next" go to the next newer message?

One thing I would like (at least for the older/newer links) is to be able to see the difference between those I've visited and those I haven't.
