I'm considering porting my pet app, 4000+ lines of Eu source to Damn Small Linux. Anybody had problems specifically with Eu on this impressive 50Mb distro? http://damnsmalllinux.org/ Other than the wxEuphoria or similar conversion that is :)) This distro seems to be ideal to imbed Eu apps and distribute without licencing issues. I run mine in a VMWare image while testing. Thanks! Alan

Did you load up Euphoria on DSL? I just installed it (I'm replying to this message using DSL) and really like how fast it comes up! If only my laptop would allow boot from USB...oh well. I would be interested in hearing if and how you got Euphoria to run on DSL. I've been looking for an alternative to the now dismantled linux RH9 box I used to have. Not much of a demand here, but I do have at least 1 CGI Euphoria program that I might need to maintain from time to time. Jonas Temple http://www.yhti.net/~jktemple

Hi, I'm using DSL-N actually, its a slightly bigger version, with the kernel being 2.6.x instead of 2.4.x . This is to support the latest USB and other devices. Installing Rob's latest executable was easy. You may want to rename it without the .txt extension that Windows adds. Simply put it in your /home/dsl, and make it executable, "chmod +x exu". Any Euphoria source file should have "#!/home/dsl/exu" as the first line, exactly the same as if you were running a script and specifying the shell. Then simply ./yoursourcefilename from /home/dsl directory. HTH! Cheers Alan
