Right now I am the only moderator, not by choice but due to lack of functionality. The forum has no moderation functionality. When I moderate a message, I issue a SQL statement to delete it 
I will add moderator functionality to it today and then we can take on a few moderators. That would for sure be helpful. Please let me know if you are willing to help in this area by sending me an email: jeremy (A)T cowgar dot com.

In a related topic, is there some sort of formal bug/feature tracking in existence for the forum?

No. Maybe we should add a few categories to the SF.net bug tracker? Forum, Wiki, Website ?
