Hello Everyone,
In the manual section 4.3.3 How to Run the Translator.
it says type
euc taskwire.exw
I did.
It says 'euc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I'm in E:\euphoria\bin>
Don Cole A Bug is an un-documentedfeature. A Feature is a documented Bug.

Is your 4.0 install from an installer or are you keeping up with the SVN releases? The move to euc, eui, etc... was after the last alpha release, in which case the translator would still be the old names.

Hello Jeremy,
I downloaded eu40a3.
I don't know what you mean by "in which the translator would be in the old names".

- Is E:\euphoria\bin the place you downloaded the latest v4 executables to?
- Does it contain euc.exe?
- Is E:\euphoria\bin on your PATH?

ecw taskwire.ex would be what you want. Since 4.0a3 we have changed the names of the executables to make things more simple and to make more sense. The online manual gets rebuilt fairly often based on the latest sources from SVN, so it's not always accurate if you are not using the latest SVN copies. Once we hit 4.0 final, then the Manual tab will reflect 4.0, even when we update SVN. We will then have some other link accessable via the Wiki or something that points to the "SVN" manual.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hello Jeremy,
I just downloaded eu40a3.zip and I don't see euc.exe anywhere.
Am I downloading the wrong file? What should I be downloading?
or
Am I looking for the wrong file (euc.exe)? What should I be lookimg for?

If you downloaded alpha 3, then you should be using ecw.exe. The name changed after the release of the third alpha. Look at the zip archive. The executables that are in the alpha 3 zip file are the ones that you should use if you want to use the 3rd alpha release of euphoria v4.

Thank you Matt,
I found ecw.exe.
I never did this before so I'm sure I'll have more questions.
Also thank you Jeremy.

The translator got much nicer since the 4.0a3 release, a bit more user friendly.
