1. version 4.0 help file in chm format

ne1uno:

How about an update to your CHM help file.

I don't like PDF to much trouble to navigate.
I don't like HTML to big and time consuming to navigate.

I like CHM the best because it is fast and easy to use the index and is a single file.

The online manual was *just* updated as well.

Your on line manual doesn't have an INDEX of keywords.
It takes too long to find something unless you are a
developer and know what category everything is listed under.

I also like a "stand-alone" help file. Once I made one in .hlp, .chm and .pdf, for Euphoria 2.3 and they still available in the archive. Some time ago I made a "new" Refman for the v3.x in .hlp and .chm and they can be found from my 4shared repository: Refman.chm and Refman.hlp. I found them very helpful specially to work along PSPad (or ConText) as you can call help directly from the statement under cursor. blink

Right now I have no spare time to build a new one for version 4. Also, it's a bit early as it still in alpha stage. Anyway, it won't be that much difficult. smile

You are right. It will before final, but it does not yet. I am hoping to enlist ne1uno's help for including an option to download a .chm with the official 4.0. My plan is to have installers and the windows installer including the option for HTML, PDF and CHM help files. In addition, you will be able to download those files in their own .zip package in addition to the source only, binary versions, etc...

Can the eu4 docs, where you use <tt> to change the font, also specify a larger font, or color, rather than shrinking the keywords or parameter names to 1/4 the height of all the other words?

useless

hey, great timeing. I worked up a new chm with a chi index this afternoon. the eu4.chi speeds up the indexing especially on a removable drive. put them both in the same place.

was planning to upload today, new alpha beta version of euphoria or not.

Derek & jeremy have ironed out allot of pesky bugs in the docs, eudoc & creole so there should be very few bad links and nearly 100% coverage of all routines and constants.
