1. [FORUM] user password, for new computer

How can I get my current password, so I can post from same user name on new computer?

Dan,

The passwords are stored encrypted into the database. Even the software cannot tell what your existing password is. However, the real answer is the ability to let you reset your own password which does not exist yet in the software. The forum is in need of some work, I know getlost

If you want to choose a password (one you do not use elsewhere because I don't want to know your "normal" password) I can set it for you so you will know what it is.

Would that new password be applied to my existing username, so I could use same username/password on both desktop and laptop? & if so, how to get new password to you?

also, I had a email I'd saved, without headers, so no date etc, which contained a password for Euphoria, but it didn't work so it was probably previous one, but is that the way new user signup/password assignment works still? What I mean is, if a person signs up as a new user, is a password assigned and sent to them via email, or do they just enter a password as they're signing in, hopefully record it, and then either use it manually or tell computer to remember it?

And yes, ability for user to reset password would be best.

Dan,

On signin you choose your password. Yes, the password reset would apply to your current username, thus you can use it from whatever computer you wish.
