1. Fixes to SVN Build for Linux

Jeremy -

Thanks for the quick fix to bug 2790117. I now get past that one.

I still cannot build the Linux binaries due to bug 2788382. There seem to be unresolved references that I don't know how to fix.

Help!

Thanks! I admire all the developers who probably have real jobs and still do such a good job with the alpha fixes!

2. Re: Fixes to SVN Build for Linux

I had this issue, and when i did a "rm -rf intobj" followed by a "cp -a Makefile.gnu Makefile" and then a "make", the problem went away.

I tried this and still get the same error. I even did a new full checkout from SVN with the same results. I'm afraid I'm still stuck!

Thanks for the help in any event!

4. Re: Fixes to SVN Build for Linux

It looks like eubins is still down (due to the option parsing still being broken for '/' type file paths). I have made eubins available at http://malcom.unkmar.com/more/eubin-2075.tgz for svn revision 2075 (the latest svn at this time), does using those binaries for the translation help?

Is there any particular reason you guys are posting your responses above the quotes? It doesn't seem to flow with the logic of the conversation... getlost

Where's Juergen when we need him?

A: Because it considerably reduces the readability of the text.
Q: Why?

Q: What is annoying in e-mail and news?

7. Re: Fixes to SVN Build for Linux

I see no reason why EUforum can't be made to automatically correct top posting into the normal, more readable order.

I've heard rumors that Gmail supports this (or maybe it was Google Groups).

Feature advocacy by abuse, eh? smile

Probably Groups. Gmail tends to simply hide most quoted stuff by default, which is really nice, actually. But I've never noticed it changing anything like that.

9. Re: Fixes to SVN Build for Linux

Thanks! I used the posted binaries for 2075 and successfully built 2076. It's a little difficult at times to get back into the cycle if you ever have a problem! Thanks again.

TOP RESPONSE:

Without intending to start a philosophical war here, I post above because I find this most efficient for the way I work. The first text seen is the message I am reading/responding to and I only read the quoted material that follows if I need it. In a threaded message list like EUForum (as I use it) quotes are usually not even necessary, except when the thread "forks" into several subthreads (anyone ever notice that?) and it is necessary to figure out what the current message is responding to. If the Forum consensus is to always put the latest message at the bottom, I guess I can be trained, but not easily!
