We have a report on the Bug Tracker that the devs cannot reproduce. Can you please try and see if the problem appears on your local boxes?

I tried build 1987 today and there is no problem, with or without EUCONS. The problem was very real on build 1847, at least on my system. (XP SP3)
I originally reported this problem. I have added a comment to bugtracker as above.

I think Derek may have fixed it in SVN1897 when he corrected the BUG in trace
