Rob Craig issued a statement today saying that he was taking back control of Euphoria and that it would no longer be open source. He has taken over development of the 4.0 version alpha code and will be adding object oriented functionality during the current alpha phase. He will then be adding closures and will require semi-colons at the end of each line of code. He is also adding a string type and removing GOTO. He is considering adding GOSUB however.
Expected release date is April 1, 2010, and will be priced at $700.

You know it's April Fools Day?
All countries probably do not do this. I wonder how many people are going to be caught off guard.

I think ChrisB's response was just an April Fool's Response - playing along by pretending to go back to C.
April Fools on you, Jeremy!

HAHAHA! Jeremy's response to ChrisB's response was just an April Fool's Response - playing along by pretending to not know if ChrisB's response was a legitimate and serious response or an April Fool's Response!
April Fools on you, JIMCBROWN!

As of April 1st the Musubi library and the Eu/SDL headers will likewise cease to be open source. I'll accept only barters and trades for my wares, preferably in the form of alcoholic libations, fast food, or lap dances.
Cheers,
Mark Akita
