Hi, Good stuff! I hope Clipboard functions of this type are made available in win32lib. And the specific command to paste from the Clipboard into MS Paint (or wherever) would be...what? --Quark

There may be some confusion with the word 'Paste'. Paste refers to what is done at the receiving end (Paint). The phrase 'paste to the clipboard' should be 'copy to the clipboard'. My main issue with the first post was how to get the bitmap into the bitmap structure. The first post shows the clipboard operations. And the second post uses what I was thinking Windows must do internally when you drag a window around the screen. There is obviously a very fast routine which reads the bitmap and relocates it. I need to digest all of this now. Thanks. Andy Katz B.S. Computer Science, 1978 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)

Hi to all messing with the Clipboard and MS Paint, I tried both Guillermo's code and CChris's. There were in CChris's untested code some errors which I think I fixed (e.g. c_func instead of c_proc, etc.), but couldn't get it to work. However, Guillermo's code did work on a little text.bmp I made. So the cause is advanced some. Still can't find any way to cause a paste on bringing up MS Paint :( There just has to be a way... --Quark
