1. New forum deployed

Ok, a new forum has been deployed. This forum is running in interpreted mode. It seems to fix many problems we were having including:
- Incorrect dates reported, especially on the RSS feed
- Some posts causing an internal server error
Further, it adds in search functionality. You cannot yet do full body searches, but if this works out, then the search function will be updated.
Please report back about a few things:
- Do you notice a speed difference?
- Did the forum return a "500 Internal Error" type message to you? If so, please note the URL and let me know here.
Thank you,
Jeremy

I also made the RSS feed a little easier to read when it has quoted blocks.

The speed seems fine to me. It's about as instantaneous as I'd expect for a web forum.

Excellent! That has been one of my gripes for awhile now
But how does one invoke the search to test it? Pressing the "Search" button says "Search is not yet online, sorry."

It's confusing and not very well integrated right now The main "Search" button (between Manual and RapidEuphoria) is intended to search the manual, the wiki and the forum. When this search was made, it was plugged right into the forum. I am assuming that we will just expand it and make it deal with the manual and wiki as well. I need to work on the theme a bit to make it easier to understand.
But, for now, to activate it, select the button "List Search" that is by the "Post" and "Subject/Thread" List buttons. It's basic right now, but better than what we had. It was user contributed as well, which is good.

I made the big "Search" button link to the forum search as well.

Hi
No real speed difference.
Got a 404. Did a search, just 'save object' in the search box, got no results, then clicked on oldest (just for the hell of it), and got no page found. Not a big problem.
Incidentally, what is the search algorithm (or where could I find it)
Chris

Speed is just fine.
No errors.
But the message menu no longer appears after the message in single message view. Intentional?

Ok, that's good to know. I'll search out those bugs.

The messages are stored in a MySQL database, so the search methods are just normal SQL queries.

Removing functionality was not intentional, no. What do you mean, though, the message menu? Maybe I am not missing it beacuse I use threaded view all the time?

Previously, when viewing a single message, we got the "Older", "Newer", "Reply", etc links both above and below the message. Now it only displays above the message.
