I was wondering if the next official RDS release could have associative sequences or whatever you want to call it! Thanks, Alex

I've been tempted by this before, but I think it wouldn't be used enough to justify the added complexity, and you could probably come up with a better hash function for your specific data than I could. Also, it's pretty easy to do yourself in Euphoria. See Jiri Babor's Associative Lists http://www.rapideuphoria.com/3tables.zip Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com

Obviously, its totally up to you! I just think that it would be easier if we could subscript sequences using strings, like say PHP, and I think it would flow with the simplicity of Euphoria?! The only problem with using functions to do this is readability and time, and I believe this is the only thing I would really like to see, which cannot be changed another way because it is a syntax change a Thanks, Alex

Can somebody explain to me what the differences are? Thanks! :) -=ck "Programming in a state of Euphoria." http://www.cklester.com/euphoria/

Thanks! :) Here is an explanation by Jiri (URL might wrap): http://www.listfilter.com/cgi-bin/esearch.exu?fromMonth=9&fromYear=7&toMonth=9&toYear=7&postedBy=Jiri+Babor&keywords=7+Sep+2002 I privately only use the simple 'tables.e' (slightly modified by me) with great success, and can't imagine anymore to do without. So thanks a lot, Jiri! Regards, Juergen -- Have you read a good program lately?
