what is wrong with supporting BB Code? I forget, this is euphoria. we have to be different.

what is wrong with supporting BB Code? I forget, this is euphoria. we have to be different.
We use Creole for document generation (in Euphoria and in the new eudoc tool that will be included with Euphoria, in the Wiki that we use and in the forum. I'd hate to learn all the other codes as well just because others do. Besides, Creole is much more powerful than BBcode.

I hate to learn something new because a select group of Euphorians like to use it. BB Code is a very common standard. From what I see, Creole is a euphoria only thing. Tell me again why euphoria people have to be different?

Creole is a document formatting standard that many software applications have agreed upon. It is first and foremost a wiki format, but it lends itself to plain text, document formatting, HTML, PDF, OpenOffice, MS Word generation, etc... Creole is certainly not Euphoria only. Euphoria is probably one of the last languages to get a Creole parser written in it.
