could even help on the forum. not sure how much extra CPU this would consume. the feedback page for bit.ly , the url shortening service has a form at the top of the page soliciting comments, bug reports, feature requests. the interesting thing is as you type, matching comments from previous feedback are collected under the form and therby you can quickly zero in on if an item has been commented on before.
showing users previous items that might be similar could alert them they need to upgrade and it will reduce the load on developers to retest things that may have already been fixed. and most important, point someone who may have good information the best place to add it.
