Ticket #752:
backspace in the trace screen under Linux

Using the backspace in the trace screen under Linux doesn't delete backwards characters that are typed in when requesting a variable. This was tried on Ubuntu Linux with a development version of 4.0.4. Because backspace, '\08', is not treated as a control character it is entered as if I want it to be the next character of the variable.
