ambitious, perhaps.

I'm assuming that you won't be using exw.exe
since that requires the OS you'll be substituting.

This means that you'll be using ex.exe.

Well, do you plan on implementing multi-tasking?
multi-threading? If so, I don't believe you'll
be able to do that with ex.exe since system()
can only spawn one process and return.

What about driver support? Printers, scanners,
modems, fax, mice, trackballs, touchpads,
drawing tablets, sound cards, CDROMs, tape
drives, 'zip' drives (and their kind), video
cards, 3d boards, tv tuner boards, tv capture
boards, video out boards, mpeg2 decoders, DVD,
radio tuner boards, monitors, keyboards,
floppies, IDE/SCSI HD's, USB devices, ISA,
EISA, VESA, PCI, AGP, network cards, power managment,
joysticks, gamepads, flight yokes, steering wheels,
and "alternate access devices" for the disabled?

Whose gonna write those drivers?

Will it support DirectX, Direct3D, openGL,
multi-monitor displays, 3dfxGlide, API's,
DLL's, ActiveX, Java runtime, SQL, JET,
TCI/IP, IPX, SPX, NetBIOS, Novell, and
multi-national configuration and font support?

Will all the software that I currently have
run in this OS, or will I have to buy all
new software?

yeah, ambitious, perhaps...
