>correction: libc.so.6 that is just a sim link to the latest library on your system, prolly around glibc.so.2.2 or so? when you do wrappers of the standard libs in Linux you dont even need to define which shared library you are opening, it automatically opens libc (glibc) -- evil, corruption and bad taste cEnsE
