Writing a good parser is a *lot* more complex than Hawke's trivial example would seem to indicate. There's nothing more frustrating than playing "guess the magic word" with a parser. An adventure parser is a good exercise, but there are so many programs of such good quality that it becomes difficult to justify writing *another*.
