New GAME!!!

Hi Euphorians!
I just updated my Euphoria programming page www.BeRighteous.com/Euphoria and
added LGP Games' first new game in almost 4 years!
Snack Attack! I am so excited to show you what I've been killing myself
over for the last couple of weeks.

This is the first fully-playable alpha version, and I'd like to get some
feedback from y'all on it. For those of you in A Crash Course In Game
Design and Production, this is what the course project will look like, at
least until you change the artwork.

Ya wanna hear the coolest idea I've had all day? I was getting this version
ready to upload and I was pulling my hair out trying to wrangle all the
image files used in it - over 160 of them. I didn't want to pack them into
a dat file, because I want the crash course people to be able to look at
them and see how I created the animations, and I want them to be able to
change the art to suit their own needs as they build their own versions.
What was I to do? I wanted to distribute the game to everybody, and they
don't need to look at the 200 files, but I still needed to have the art
accessible. So it occurred to me (everybody on here probably does this
already, but it was a new and ultra-cool idea to ME!) that I could make a
contact sheet - an image with all the artwork on it and cut the art in the
game out of it to use in the game. Now I have only one 28k gif file that
contains all 160+ images, and you can easily view it and edit it in any
graphics editor. Edit the one image and the game art automagically changes
to suit your tastes.

I'd like to see what you creative people could do with the artwork.

Please try Snack Attack! out and let me know what you think.

Thanx!
Michael Packard
