frankly, at first, and even up till now, i felt that
EuOS could never become more than an advanced shell,
without some serious asm/mach coding, and EuOS as an
advanced shell may even be good.
after reading what you said, my mind may have changed.
after all, win95 ain't nothing but a 'shell' in a way.
side note:
anyone tired of the win95 shell, who is a relatively
advanced user, may wish to try LiteStep, a shell that
replaces explorer as default login shell to win95.
i use it, it's quite stable (far less crashing on my
machine than before, i measure uptime now in *days* as
opposed to hours before) and extremely customizable
(aka skins like winamp), and seems a tad faster.
caveat is that it's a little hard to setup.
'nuff about that tho, it's offtopic persay (although it's
not too far offtopic, in a way, as it could be a very
good role model for EuOS if incarnated as a shell)

this is the real reason for this post...
james, could you elaborate on this? i think several of us
might be interested in hearing about it...
