I have figured out the solution to my file/clipboard problem. I was opening the files with the ASCII 10 as ASCII, where in fact I should be opening them as "binary". When I do so, Jacques, your clipboard interfac= e works marvelously. I regret what fright I caused you as I led you to believe there was a bug. The "bug" was mine.
