1. SARA - algorithmic composition program
I've sent a simple port of SARA to Robert, so it should show up on the
Euphoria page eventually.
SARA (Simple Analytical Recombination Algorithm) uses a database of existing
phrases to reconstruct new MIDI compositions. It can generate small
compositions in the style of Mozart, Chopin, Joplin and Marshall.
SARA is based on a much more capable program by the same name by David Cope,
which is based in turn on his EMI (Experiments In Musical Intelligence)
program, which has composed substantial works.
My version of SARA is essentially just a simple pattern matcher, but I think
you'll find the program's output surprisingly good.
