The modem dials, but modems can dial at any baudrate setting, even one that is not compatable with the remote. So, the questions are: 1. What baud rate, stop bits, parity does the service want? (check settings on the working commercial program to find out) 2. Protocol: Does the service expect to connect via SLIP or PPP perhaps? Or something else? Does it expect you to be running ansi.sys (sends odd commands to position the cursor and set the colors, etc?) Irv
