take a bit of a gander to http://www.hornet.org/code/formats/ and
download the zip file from there...it's only 100kB

not only does it have .mod file info but all sorts of modular music
formats, such as .mtm, .669 maybe even .s3m...  and midi *ick*...  if
you want .it (impulse tracker) or .xm (fast tracker) you'll have to
download the trackers (which can also be found at hornet.org, of course)
and view the file format description files in there (which are very
indepth and take about 6 years to read because they're so long)

only in that .zip file mentioned before are file formats for zip, arj,
rar, lzh, etc. plus .flic, .jpeg, .gif and thousands of other things
(most of which i had never heard of before or thought were useful...very
thorough i guess)...  so if you need file format information, go
there...  yay

It should be on the Recent Contributions page.  I finally got the damn
thing working only yesterday...  I haven't had time to promote it on this
list yet because I've been too busy writing it (and I have to go to class
once in a while too)

I've tried... it's good, it's nice, it's enjoyable, and it's great!
i hope you will soon prepare 'how-to-use' text and more simpler test
example (having core codes only on how-to-use).

Your mod player deserves to win "the Best Euphoria program of the Year"
if such a thing exists...

it's great! But can you make a procedure or something to play these MOD
files in background very fast? Possibly to use in a game ?

Sure you can play mod files in background very fast (how fast depends on
the speed of your computer).  I would love to have people use it in a game
for really good quality music.  I designed the player to work inside a
game loop where you call update_mod() every so often to keep the music
playing.  I'm in the process of writing better documentation and putting
the player into an include file.  I'm also still coding the effect parts,
so if anyone has mod songs that use tremolo or other stuff I haven't
coded, please send them to me.  Or if you have a song that you feel
doesn't play right, send it and I'll try to make it work.  I might have to
write a better tracking screen so I can see what's going on in the
patterns better too.  And once I'm satisfied that everything plays right
and all the effects work correctly, I'm going to tackle converting the
whole thing to asm in order to save memory and increase speed.

Lee, woo seob suggested a "award of the year" for the mod player... if I
had done it last year, maybe.  But now it's only January and I'm expecting
to see some really great stuff from Hollow Horse Software, and I feel
guilty about stealing the show after they released their ray casting demo.

Other random thoughts... it would seem that everyone is doing someone
elses project.  David Cuny was also trying to convert a mod player from
BASIC...  Christopher Street released his fantastic SVGA lib which was
going to be my next project... oh well
