Hi all, I've just release a very early (pre-Alpha) version of a new IDE for win32lib called EuDesigner. You can download it from my site at http://2fargon.hypermart.net/ (it's in the downloads section). It's just barely useful at this point, but I have built a couple of simple programs with it. For anyone who is daring enough to try this out, I'd appreciate lots of feedback to determine if anyone is actually interested in yet another win32lib IDE, what features you like, what features you don't, what's missing, etc. All you'll need to get started is the zip file, plus win32lib v0.45k or newer. Thanks in advance, Brian

I like it! Looks good, a few suggestions: Grid displayed on the forms, with the ability to lock to grid Click on a control, then drag to select it's size/position Double click on control puts default size control in default position Resizing handles (And of course deletion) Just a few suggestions Nick ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Jackson <bjackson at 2FARGON.HYPERMART.NET> To: <EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU> Sent: Saturday, January 22, 2000 7:15 PM Subject: New IDE > Hi all, > > I've just release a very early (pre-Alpha) version of a new IDE for > win32lib called EuDesigner. Brian, I havn't tried your IDE out yet (I only have Win32Lib .44e right now), but I do have a suggestion: I like to indent my code to make it more readable. There are many times that I need to move a whole block of code over a tab. E.g., I might write some code, and then decide to nest it in a loop; in most editors, I have to go to the start of every line and insert (or remove) a tab. That's a bit of a pain. If you could design it so that you simply select the lines of text and then click a menu option, or shortcut key, to add/remove a tab... Just a suggestion. :) Ben >From: Brian Jackson <bjackson at 2FARGON.HYPERMART.NET> >Reply-To: Euphoria Programming for MS-DOS <EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU> >To: EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU >Subject: New IDE >Date: Sat, 22 Jan 2000 01:15:32 -0500 > >Hi all, > >I've just release a very early (pre-Alpha) version of a new IDE for >win32lib called EuDesigner.
