1. DOS32 memory & graphics problem

Rob,
I ungraded my PC (400MHz AMD K6-2 & 256 MB Memory),
and i found the maximum allocatable memory with Eu 2.1
is just 64MB. Devore Software has an Oct. 1999 maintenance
release for download for registered user (hope you are).
This should allow to allocate more memory.

Do you have in the meantime a recompiled Euphoria registered
ver. 2.1? How could I get this?

I upgraded also my graphics, it's now a
Millenium G200LE 8 MB AGP card. It's now impossible to set any
of the 1024x768 modes. I tried also use_vesa(1) without any
success. Any idea what to do?

Thanks for help , Rolf

I wonder if that just applies to plain DOS, outside of Windows.
Someone on the mailing list a long time ago was using
Euphoria with 128 Mb and he said he was accessing
all the memory. Anyway, RDS is a registered user and I will download the
latest CauseWay and try it out.

I'll send you the latest download instructions, if that's what
you are asking.

Sorry, I don't know anything about that card. Sometimes
downloading the latest driver will help.

3. Re: DOS32 memory & graphics problem

Hi Rob,
the graphics problem is solved: one needs to load
for 1024x768 and highter resolutions a vesa-tsr, I
found it on the accompanying CD-ROM. No it runs fine.

The 64MB limit seems to be a CauseWay extender limitation
(as I wrote directly to rds).

Have a nice day, Rold
