I wrote : "I decided to make my own palette and leave the last 64 free to play with as a dynamic palette, but since in euphoria palette manipulation is one or all I haven't used it." Irv replied : "I don't understand the one or all... I have been setting the last 32 colors to shades of blue to make a neat gradated title-bar, without changing any of the others." The idea was that along you had 64 colours to be unigue to each image, so if you were in a game each screen could have 64 colours to play with to make it nice. It wouldn't cause a rewrite of the whole pallete nor a palette lacking a vital colour. It was a way of adding flexibility to the 256 colour limit. Oh and the std palette is 16 cga, 16 grey, but it's then not 243 colours (3^5) as that's too many. But the colours are still mathematically designed to give the greatest variety. -------------------- Sincerely, Mathew Hounsell Mat.Hounsell at MailExcite.Com _______________________________________________________ Get your free, private e-mail at http://mail.excite.com/
