1. An important project -Forwarded

I'm sorry to bug you all, but believe it or not, this is actually from a friend
of mine who I have known since 1981. For that reason, I'm passing this
along. If you're not interested, at least forward it to some folks who
might be.

Thanks,

-Jay

Subject: An important project

Hi everyone,

I hope you don't mind getting a joint letter like this, or mind me writing
to you to ask for help. But I'm trying to help my brother Kurt with an
important project, one that could literally save a woman's life. He asked
me to ask my friends to read about his project and see if they're willing
or able to help--and even if you aren't able to help financially--which I
*totally* understand--if you could forward this information on *your*
friends, it would be much appreciated. smile

I'm sending this to all of you because I'm trying to get as much help with
this as I possibly can.

The bottom line is this: he's trying to save the life of a 24-year-old
Ethiopian woman named Jordan, who is stranded in Johannesburg, South
Africa. Against amazingly impossible odds, he's already saved the life of
Jordan's sister Misrak, and that of her husband and 3 year old daughter,
whom she hasn't seen since she was a baby. Misrak now lives in Santa Fe,
and we just found out that her husband and daughter will be able to leave
Ethiopia and join her soon.

Now he wants to get Misrak's sister here too--and he's figured out
*exactly* how to do it, step by step. All it takes is money. It would be
really hard for me to try to explain it here, so what I'm going to do is
attach some emails and some information about this project. He also has a
website dedicated to the project that you should check out to find out more
about it.

Start with the attached document, Friends.htm, and then check out his
website:

http://www.cyberkoala.com/SaveJordan.html

I'm also going to paste an email he wrote me today, just so you can read in
his own words how incredibly important this is--to him, to me, to Misrak,
and ultimately, of course, to Jordan herself.

Thanks VERY MUCH from the bottom of my heart in advance for reading all
this! smile

Rachael
