I looked at some of your earlier posts to this list and found that:
    * you crash your machine frequently for various reasons
    * you have trouble running many Windows apps and games,
not just those written in Euphoria
    * you've installed and uninstalled Win98

Nevertheless, you may have a real bug here.

* Which O/S are you using?
* Can you simply type: exw, and get the copyright message
   in a console window?
* Are any other non-Euphoria Windows programs failing?

3. Re: Exw.exe cash

Yeah i do crash my compter alot....used to beonce or twice a week.
The resion i had trouble running programs was due to bad ram..i have
corrected that.
Yes i have installed and uninstalled win98...i got 98 for upgrades that
i found (at www.microsoft.com) for win95 so i went back(also civ2 does
not like 98).
I am running on a 100% fresh install of 95B...32msdram...no i can not
run exw.exe at all. I have not currently had any trouble with any
programs Euphoria for dos runs great.

4. Re: Exw.exe cash

Rob, i have a friend with a Compaq Presario who has the same problem when he
tries to run my programs on his computer. Specifically i bound the Nim game
posted to the list a while ago which ran fine on my computer but produced the
memory error on his computer.

just a little input,

Thanks for the information. That might be a problem specific to Nim.
Davi Figueiredo reported some intermittent problem with his Nim game.
Something to do with bitmaps. It only happened once in a while.
I don't know if he ever resolved the problem.

I'd be happy to look at any repeatable crash that seems to be the
fault of exw.exe.

Interesting... I have aroung the same config, except that I have a PR150
(overclocked to 166), and no problems yet...

Except... I just got the new SDRAM yesterday, as well as my net access
back (YAY!), so I have no idea if Exw.exe fails yet... (heh...)

8. Re: Exw.exe cash

So far no one has realy gave any clue as to what could be the problem. I
was hopeful i would not have to do a reinstall but im going to have to.
Maybe i made a mistake on the last install...Na no one like me does
that.. =) j/k...Oh and when you say a PR150..thats a ~gasp~ cyrix cpu
isn't it...

10. Re: Exw.exe cash

My friend has a PR200....my P166 also...My P150 run gets slightly better
numbers on the drystone and about double on the whetstone...Cyrix is
good if you dont play 3D games or if you only run apps.. for for gamming
i prefer AMD or Intel(id love to use a Alpha 566(Yes it still beats a
P2550)..
