1. Stopping Windows Procedure

The offline browser I am writing in Eu is coming along slowly and I have now reached the stage where I can download single URLs at a time. One problem I haven't been able to solve is trying to stop a download before it has finished. One way I tried was to set up a stop button which when clicked would close all the open handles. Unfortunately, once the download function in Wininet.dll has been called and it starts the download, the main application window is not accessible. No buttons can be clicked, even the application close button cannot be clicked. The only way to stop the application and the download is to use Ctrl-Alt-Del. Can anybody provide any clues or code on how I can set the download function running and still keep the main application window accessible to the user at the same time.
