1. Plans for Euphoria on Linux HOWTO

Hi all,

Greg Phillips and I are beginning plans to write a "Euphoria on
Linux HOWTO". The general areas we want to cover in it are:

  * basic installation and configuration (both of interpreter files
    and user's environment)
  * Linux info relevant to Euphoria (directories, file permissions, etc)
  * shared libraries
  * GUI programming in X
  * where to get more information

If anyone is interested in either co-authoring it with us, or
contributing
material, you are more than welcome to join us.

We're looking specifically for information on useful Euphoria libraries
or programs (especially GUI libraries), any special setup details for a
particular Linux distribution (like DosLinux or Debian), and any other
tips
you can offer.

If you're interested, please email Greg (i.shoot at rednecks.com) or Buddy
(budmeister1 at juno.com).

I've got some code wrapping a lot of the XLib functions. The structures are
still a bit buggy, though. I've also got wrappers for GTK, also not entirely
debugged.

Happy new year you all !
I'll do the french translation if you're ok. Maybe the german too if I have
time...
Let us show them (perl writers) that euphoria is serious, not only a toy.
