1. EarTest 1.1 released

Hi all,

I just released EarTest 1.1. It is an ear training program written 100% in
Euphoria. It makes extensive use of Win32Lib and my own windows-based
midi/sound routines that are available on the Euphoria archive site.

I released EarTest 1.0 in September and this is the first major
upgrade. If have been offering it as shareware, and I've been getting
registrations pretty much every week--and that's without doing too much PR
with it.

You can look at the EarTest web site, and download the shareware version of
EarTest at

    http://www.sunflower.org/~bhugh/eartest.spm

(They're doing work on the sunflower.org servers this weekend, so if you
have trouble connecting, just try again in a while)

I offered before to give free registration to anyone subscribed to the
Euphoria list--and I'll offer it again. If you want a free registration of
EarTest, just write and ask me for it--I'll be glad to give you one! (If
you already have a registration code from a previous version, it is still
valid.)

Program description:

EarTest is an ear-training program designed to improve both perfect pitch
ability and relative pitch ability. EarTest plays a note and you respond
via computer keyboard, midi keyboard or mouse clicks. EarTest gives you
aural feedback, so you know immediately whether your answer was right or
wrong. The combination of intuitive response and immediate feedback help
the ear improve very quickly. EarTest is very flexible and gives helpful
statistics about your progress. Extensive help file for help with the
program and ear training in general. Required: Win95+ and soundcard (or
external midi device).

It's the first commercial Win32Lib program that I know of - I'm so proud.
