1. Euphoria Webpage suggestions

Rob
The WEB page would be alot easier to read if the backgrounds
were just an ordinary solid constrasting color instead of a textured
background that makes the foreground text hard to read.
I know your Web Master is trying to impress us but everyone that
uses the WEB page does not have 21" high resolution monitor:)
Because the Archive is getting so big, there should be a way to key
word search for a file or a discription instead of guessing on a catagory.
That is why Newbies don't know software already exists in the Archive.
Thank You
Bernie

I suspect that you are viewing the pages in a 16-color
graphics mode, so you are getting a "dithering" effect.
The background colors are all solid when I view them
with IE or Netscape in 256 colors or higher.

I agree, but I don't know how to set that up.

I could post on the Web site, maybe once per month,
the full contrib + archive pages, zipped in the readable
text form in which we maintain them, i.e. the same
thing I posted a few weeks ago on this list.
As I recall it was under 40K. You could then search
these files using cdguru or some other program.

Some people simply save a copy of these pages
to their disk, and view them off-line from time to time.

3. Re: Euphoria Webpage suggestions

I maintain a small archive of the more common usuable files (read: often
usuable) or the real 'solution' files (read: complex mathimatics, machine
code based, or any other thing most can not easily do themselves) ..
the archive can be browsed through as a small tree based upon topic. Most,
if not all, files are commented, are they are all stored on my ISP.

Here's the Euphoria tree:
 -- Binaries
 -- Gear
     -- Tools
     -- Designers
 -- Libraries
     -- FileIO
         -- Compression
         -- Encryption
         -- Graphic Formats
     -- Media
     -- Gui
         -- Font
     -- Algorithmic
     -- System
 -- My work
     -- Dropped
     -- Games
         -- Botmatch
         -- Mazer
         -- Clone
         -- Smiley
     -- Tools
         -- Edom
         -- Upgrade Library
         -- WebGenerator
     -- Article
     -- Experiments
 -- Linux
    -- Binaries
    -- Libraries
    -- Gear

If you think your file should be included in this archive as well, mail me
the file and some comments about it.
If you want me to remove a file by you, please mail me as well. If you don't
I assume people have no problem with me hosting their files. (all files are
either found at RDS' as well or at the user's homepage, for example, with
most of Pete's stuff)

Some 'contributions' are bound together in one zip-file when they are both
very small and/or are usually needed both.
So be sure, your file isn't included anywhere .. for example: the acadamic
zip-file contains genetic algorithms, travelling sales man solutions, etc.

Robert, the latest binaries are also kept on my site.
I will make sure they are up-to-date as well as any other file in the
archive.
If you wish to use it as a mirror (a dutch/europe mirror) the links are:

 ... and ..

The current directory structure will remain, at least until Linux archive is
of the same volume as the normal ibm-intel dos32/win32 archive. Then
_maybe_, the link for the linux release would change.

However, the other link will most certainly remain.

 ...................................................., AND they are all
stored on my ISP.

I also updated the page now (16:30 CET) with Irv's GraphApp wrapper
(although untested by me) and Jiri's updated (texture) mapping routines...

Hi Ralf:
Thanks for rebuilding your web site. Looks nice!.
It would be a good idea to have a link to my webpage, rather than a copy of the
Linux files - I am making as many as 20 changes a day to the Euphoria wrapper,
and the only up to date version is the one on my webpage. Sometimes changes are
made to the demo programs as well, to accomodate changes made to the wrapper.

Also, please change the credits - the demo programs are not wriiten by me, but
by Loki (L.Patrick) the developer of GraphApp. I have only translated them into
working Euphoria code. (OK, I did write the pizza program:)

You really should arrange to run Linux. We need your input.
(C makes my head hurt)

Regards,
Irv
