I have not had this problem but I can sympathise with any
who have. My suggestion is that a zip file with the package
inside it be distributed with an "install.bat" file that
would run pkunzip with the -d argument to unzip the zip file.
these two files could be zipped up in another zip file that
did not require the -d argument.
Knowing the directory of the pkunzip software might be a
small problem but that could be remmedied if by nothing but distributing
"pkunzip.exe" (shareware version of course ;) )
along whith it.
This is all the user would need to do after downloading the
first zip file:
I. unzip first zip file "Euph.zip" which would create:
"Install.bat", "Pkunzip.exe", "EphorVV.zip", "Duh.txt"
II. Run "Install.bat"
The Euphoria package would be installed by unzipping
"EuphorVV.zip" with directories in tact
III. <optional> Run "Cleanup.bat" to move or delete the four files:
"Euph.zip", "Install.bat", "Pkunzip.exe", "EuphorVVV.zip",
"Duh.txt"
Actually, "Install.bat" could do III on its own I think so that is 3
simple steps (at the most) for the user to perform, and only a little
bit more work for Rob ;)
Note: "Duh.txt" could be called "Readme.txt" and would explain to the
user what to do assuming that he/she can't figure it out on their own.
Note: If PKunzip does not unzip the directories correctly then it
wouldn't be Rob's fault.
