In the Euphoria documentation, I read something about this "micro-economy=
"
of Euphoria. Recently, someone brought it up again. Can someone please
explain this to me, nice and slow. I don't get it.

The Euphoria Micro-Economy started a few months ago.
You can read a full description of how it works at:
http://members.aol.com/FilesEu/economy.htm
In a nutshell, it's a system that lets registered users
vote for programs on the RDS Web site (Recent Users
page or Archive page) that they have found to be useful, or
otherwise deserving of recognition.
Each registered user can "vote" $1.00 per month
*of RDS's money*. The 1.00 can go to one program (or file),
or can be slit amongst several.
The money can be used by the author of the program
as a discount on future registrations or upgrades to
Euphoria. Programs that have earned money have
a "happy face" plus a number (of dollars) at the end of their
description on the Web page.
My guess is that for every $1 (of our money) that you
donate to someone's program, you will typically trigger
10 hours of additional work on that program. You are
buying a programmer's time for just 10 cents an hour!
I'm hoping to see many more registered users voting.
Don't worry about bankrupting RDS.
Remember: it costs you nothing, and it encourages
people to develop more of the kind of thing that you
find useful.
Registered users (of any release) can send an
e-mail message to rds at msn.com
State how you wish your dollar to be divided.
List the title, the author and the amount.
e.g.
For the month of June I vote:
XXXX by yyyy: 0.50
WWW by rrrr: 0.25
QQQ by eee: 0.25
