Colin and Lucius, Yes, you are correct, the display speed does drop accordingly when the background is 'opaqued'. However, I like it just fine like it is! I have devised a workaround kludge to make up for the lack of an editor. Having written down the ending locations where each of the full 170+ fonts conjoin to each other, I can use my current favourite Hex-Editor to cut and then resplice in the pertinent font that needed to be worked upon. It sure ain't purty, but it works. Incidently, the ability of the Translator programme to display is very important, but the fact that I now have a single string of data to look at with the OCR engine and its 'AI' ability to choose from the thousands and thousands is a most crucial part in being able to run at top speed with its search and comparisons. I am still inputting characters into the overall BigFont fine, and will let you know when it is all finished. Plus there is some other big news just poking its head over the horizon at the moment, and I will let you know how that all turns out later (It would entail creating one of the largest databases on planet). Regards, Norm
