Removed some stuff unrelated to the title of the ticket. For B), the correct way to contact the devs is not through the admins email, but through the dev list.

If you just wanted a plain text hyperlink at the top and the bottom of every page or something, I would have done myself it already. But I'm not sure how to add a button. I was hoping someone would chip in with something along the lines of, "and here's some example HTML to show you what it should look like!"

From the lack of responses, it would seem so. At least, no one who knows how to do it has spoken up!

Adding a regular link is a simple matter. The issue is that this is being requested as a button.

So, maybe adding a link is enough even better than nothing. From my point of view, having a link is okay.
A 'Button' would be better, but okay who really cares if a link does the job?
And it is enough to close this ticket.

(Sorry, if this sounds rude. But this makes me feel like I'am in my workplace)

You're right, a regular link should be sufficient. However, the original ticket opener has not responded to this idea.

As a compromise, here's what I've decided to do:

I've added the link to the user login page and the misc menu.

Now that we have regular links in there as well as on the wiki home page, the issue is solved.

However, a button may still be requested. So I've changed this ticket to reflect that request - that it's a feature request now, no longer a bug report.

won't this link get ignored? no admin name in title.

better to link to expanded wiki post and hope directions are followed.

That'd work fine if the instructions had their own link or wiki page. But I'm reluctant to link directly to the "home" page....

I've asked ChrisB to manually ensure that emails lacking a proper subject do not go into the void but get forwarded to all admins.

creole can add named links on wiki too.

I added named links to the sandbox page, so these links might not work if someone edits them out
