Thanks for the suggestion, Aku I downloaded the bzip2 sources, compiled bzip2.c to bz2.so, and tried using that file in place of the one included with your library. I still get the same error message... "bzopen not found". I'll keep fiddling with the library and see if I can figure out what the problem is.
