EU>seems like textbooks have not graced your desk much either...hrm...

Well they have , quite a few ; in rather diverse subjects though.

EU>>> Stockholm , sounds scandanavian , 'tis swedish ; an unknown

 EU>country. Sweden, the unknown country?

Unknown to me in any personal way.

EU>I suppose u never heard of Alfred Nobel??? as in Nobel Prize?
EU>the inventor of dynamite?? (he used his earning from that invention
EU>to provide funds for the Nobel Prize)

The name is familiar ; an article on this appears in the magazine
Scientific American at least once a year.

EU>I suppose u have never used an object containing a ball bearing?
EU>Well, of course, you reach the web without a hard drive or
EU>a floppy drive...right? (the modern ball bearing was constructed
EU>by the Swede Sven Wingquist in 1907 and his company, SKF, is
EU>renowned as making some of the best bearings today)

If I was using a palm top I might not require ball bearings ,
to make a more spherical bearing one might fabricate them in
the low gravity environment of a space station ; Silicon
crystals grown there might also be useful.

EU>Certainly you have heard of Ericsson co.??? as in telephone???
EU>You do have telephones where you are, right??? well, maybe that
EU>is presumptive of me...I'm guessing its rather backwoods where
 EU>you are currently...

Yes the name Ericsson and Isaccson are known to me , most people
here , as in Tibet ; seem to be going towards mobile communications.
We haven't installed fibre-optic cable straight to the telephone
subscribers , this is something they have planned for India .
I'd say that in quite a few ways this is a backwaters.
