Well in my nine months of being "Euphoric" I have put together Euphoria
programs to:

Index my home pages on my C drive prior to upload to my ISP
Have a program upload only changed files to my ISP
Fix my POP3 settings from a DOS command line
Snapsnot my 2nd PC's hard disk for "image" backup/recovery
Remind me of my relative's impending birthdays and aniversarires

Not much and nothing ground breaking but it has given me this:

    1) Knowledge that a programming langauge can be fun and sexy smile

    2) That a group of people passionatley support it

And include me in point 2) because I think it's great.

Personally <begin personal view> I like the idea that RDS controls the
"core" language and others develop libraries and such </end personal view>.

Yes I gather from many recent mailings that interfacing Euphoria to other
libraries, DLL's or whatever (I'm no expert here) has "issues" but these
I'm sure can be overcome. In the meantime IMHO I still find the langauage
freely expressive enought for my needs. I'm no games programmer (and never
will be) so as for speed Euphoria is faster that my Ford - and thats fast
enough till my next mid-XXX crisis smile
