Ken,

Unfortunately,  this looks like it's locked into Windows.  The preprocessor
links to a Windows  .dll  and the custom pcre.dll -- unless corresponding
Linux .so files were available, it can't be translated.  Also, this will be
closed to the DOS dinosaurs as well.

The underlying OOP system doesn't look that good--not as robust as OE, not
as simple and fast as Quartz or Loop.  And though dot notation is
convenient, the overall syntax does not seem to be a genuine improvement
over OE.

On another topic, Ruby looks interesting and seems to have some unique
features--particularly the ability to define methods for single objects as
well as classes.  This would be a real boon for GUI's for example.  But,
yeah it's BIG.  Haven't been able to download it.
