Come out of your WinDoze and run the program from DOS. I guess when the
program does not execute, that there is something else wrong in your
program too.
For instance, you want to test 'while halt = 1 do', but did you initialize
halt also with:
halt = 1, without quotes?
Otherwise, the while loop will never start and execution 'falls through'.
Because 'end while' is your last statement, the program will consider it's
job done and return doing nothing.
Try running the program 'with trace' as the first statement and 'trace(1)'
as the second.
