Windows or DOS

Hello,
  I have been using Euphoria for about a month now to program primative 
RPG's in DOS(The graphics really suck!)
I have heard that most of you program in windows.  Is there any difference?  
Is it better?  How can I got about programming in Windows?
   Also what is the best game ever programmed in Euphoria?
I've played a few cool ones.

P.S. make it as simple as you can.  Most of this dll stuff and windows lib 
that you guys talk about really go's over my head
