matt, what exactly are you desiring to do.. there are many different schemes for entering as well as storing passwords. the simplest of course is to embed the password into the exe and compare it with users input. the down side of this is that you cannot easily change the password, and every user uses the same password. a more elaborate scheme is to save the users personal password in a file of allowed users (scrambled of course). and compare the users entered password with the content of his/her record in the allowed user file. hth Lucien T.
