Tired of Euphoria Bashing
Hey All,
I am still here, reading the Euphoria list from time to time. And really
Vincent, your bashing the Language way to much. I'm just like you, in the points
of not agreeing with how Robert is doing things, and such, but I only needed to
Say that once, and that's it. I didn't need to repeat myself 1000x to make my
point. And while I do agree with most people on here, Euphoria is a great
language, for them, and for certian tasks, it's just not good for my advanced
needs. And C/C++/C#/Java is just to complex for me to keep my mind wrapped
around. With Ruby, I've done made progress on developing my own MU* Client,
which I tried many times with Euphoria, and with no avail. It works both on
Linux and Windows, and is developed with GTK. (Much to the enjoyment of thoes on
here who like GTK, I'm starting to agree with you! :P) You can see screen shots

But I find Ruby for my needs right now. Who knows, maybe later on, I might have
a project, that Euphoria will be better suited for, then Ruby is, and I'll go
back to Euphoria, and use it. But I'm perfectly content with the stuff I'm
getting with Ruby, and all the advanced options. I don't come back here, to
bitch and complain about Euphoria, cause I'm busy making progress with my
language of choice, so I'm sticking with it for now. Plus the fact that it
doesn't cost me anything to use it, makes me even more happy. So, I say to thoes
of you on here, who think this language is of great use to you, please, keep
using it. Seriously, cause Programming should be fun, and easy for you, not the
other person. Keep with what your comfortable. And the rest of you out there,
that want to bash the language, don't do it here. Let people make their own
judgements based on their experince with the language.
