I have programmed with VB for years, and I NEVER liked the idea of having to
have a run-time library for it, that is the problem with Java also is run-time
libraries, they just bloat your software.

I HAVE used .NET and programmed using C# and VB.NET, and still think it is
uncessary crap. If I get software that requires .NET a (24MB) download, I just
do NOT install or use it, besides I can find software to do exactly the same
thing, sometimes better, that does not require me to install additional junk.

So, until the point where Microsoft FORCES people to use .NET, I'll either
switch OS's completely, or install it but HATE having to use it.

Later.
