Hello!

Hang on!
I didn't see this one coming!

>>Hi All,

Nothing further to be gained!?
I think that everyone in the Euphoria comunity has
a lot to gain from the further development of VEL.
I use it for all my windows programming and I think
that everyone else would too if they would try it just
once. While it doesn't yet have quite the functionality
of Win32Lib, it is eminsly easier to use.

>>I wanted to let all of you know that I have truly appreciated your
>>continued support and interest.
>>
>>The numbers from the poll on my WEB site verified my suspicion that only a
>>handful of developers were experimenting with VEL. Although I gained a
>>great deal of pleasure from it's development, I only took on such a large
>>project with the hope that the user community would make some use of the

I wasn't even aware of a "poll". I don't often visit your (Gary)
website because I find the "VEL.chm" file to be more than
adequate for most of my questions. I only visit the website
to download the latest version. We mustn't forget,
VE/VEL is still quite "young" compared to Win32Lib even
if you count all the time that it lay "dormant" after
Daniel Berstien stopped developing it. One can't expect
it to have a huge user base in the short time it's been
around.

>>One good thing has come out of it though... It seems to have played some
>>role in inspiring David Cuny to rededicate himself to extending his
>>Win32Lib project. Euphoria NEEDS a GUI library if it is to gain a larger
>>support base. Hopefully, David's library will help do this.

I've tried many times to use Win32Lib and always ending
in confusion (no offense David). I hope some one will
continue to develope VEL because when it comes to windows
programming it's the only way to go for me.

>>Anyway... thanks again for your support. I have another venture that I am
>>going to actively pursue... so maybe our paths will cross again in the
>>future.

Gary, I want you to know that I based the general design
of my NeilGUI lib off of VE/VEL.

>>Thanks... Gary.

*sigh*,
Lewis Townsend
