It's the same everywhere. "Best" seldom wins.

Ask 100 people where they ate the best hamburger, almost no one will say "McDonalds" - but the place they got that best hamburger has almost certainly gone out of business, while the clown remains, year after year.

A corollary to to this: if all you've ever had was a McDonalds hamburger, you may very well think it is the best.

Compounding the problem, when presented with a "better" hamburger, you're likely to insist that your McDonalds burger is still the best, since it is familiar to you.

Humans are weird.
